The YMCA of Wanganui Inc. is an autonomous, not-for-profit organisation geared to support the families and youth of Wanganui and district. Wanganui YMCA prides itself in being a proactive contributor making a difference to our community by responding to the opportunities of service that appear in our community.
The YMCA is a world-wide Christian, ecumenical, voluntary movement, that promotes the Family Values of Caring, Respect, Honesty, Responsibility and Enjoyment of Life. The focus of family and youth is at the heart of the YMCA’s endeavour to provide a safe, secure and caring environment. We help build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.

The YMCA Wanganui believes that by treating people with caring, honesty and respect, we can help all individuals and families grow to their full potential and nurture their physical, social, moral and cultural well-being based on Christian values and principles.
